Dolomite blocking test is an optional test in Euro EN 149:2001+A1:2009.
The mask is exposed to dolomite dust with the size of 0.7~12μm and the dust concentration is up to 400±100mg/m3. Then the dust is filtered through the mask at the simulated breathing rate of 2 liters per time. The test is continued until the accumulation of dust per unit time reaches 833mg · h/m3 or peak resistance reaches the specified value.
The filtration and respiratory resistance of the mask were then tested.
All masks that pass the dolomite blocking test can prove that the respiratory resistance of the masks in actual use rises slowly due to dust blocking, thus providing users with a more comfortable wearing feeling and a longer product use time.
